3rd Annual "Dogs of Hall" Dog Show

First of all, I want to thank Custom K-9 Trainer for inviting me to join this great blog that honors man's most constant and loyal companion. I truly look forward to reading and contributing here.

That leads me to the subject of my first blog post here - the Third Annual "Dogs of Hall" Dog Show! This is a purely for-fun event that benefits the Humane Society of Hall County. With categories such as "Precious Pups", "Old Faithful", "All-American Mutts" and "Blue-blooded Bowsers", ANY dog can enter and be treated like a pampered pooch! Each year we have local "celebrity" judges participate. Last year our very own Custom K-9 Trainer was a judge and he also delivered an excellent Q&A session to the audience. (Perhaps he will be willing to do the same this year???)The show was a great success - between concession sales, entry fees, sponsorship and raffle ticket purchases, our grand total raised was close to $4000! This year my co-director CJ and I hope to bring in $6000. 100% of the proceeds go to the Humane Society.

Here are the specifics on this year's dog show:

DATE: Sunday, October 5th
TIME: 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
LOCATION: Lakewood Baptist Church - Gainesville, Georgia
ENTRY FEE: $20.00 per dog (ALL participants get a t-shirt and a goody bag)

For more information, please contact the Humane Society: 770.532.6617 or e-mail me at akira30501@yahoo.com

I will post more information and updates all along. Please join us for this great community event!

Our anticipation is growing with each day that brings us closer to this great event. We can't express enough how great this event was. Not only did we have loads of fun but we also saw how successful an event can be when the organizers put a great plan to work. Last year was loads of fun for everyone that attended, especially the dogs. With all the dogs and owners that attended last year there were next to no problems. Just remarkable! As we watched the crowd I saw loads of the great people that love dogs. We saw people of all ages getting involved and enjoying all the wonderful four legged friends that attended. We can't believe that we could have this much fun for such a great cause, Hall County Humane Society. We are honored to have attended last year, honored to be invited back this year, and we hope to surpass last years mark. We hope to see everyone there this year. We can't wait to meet you and your dogs! What dog is going to have the best trick this year?

I am SO glad you and your family were - and still are - a part of this wonderful event! What we saw last year was a huge group of people who truly care about their dogs. My goal is to reach out to those who do not spay or neuter, tether their dogs, or may not treat their dogs with compassion the way we all do at the Dog Show. Please invite everyone you know so we can raise awareness and money for the spay/neuter program at the shelter!

I'm so happy Custom Canine Unlimited is a part of this event! You all bring such a touch of class and a wealth of information to the show.

Best trick??? Hmmmmm.....my dog's best trick is begging for my food, so she certainly won't win, haha. I'm curious to see what people come up with this year.
